VitraInternational sanitaryware specialist VitrA has enlisted both its in-house development team and established relationships with world renowned designers to create its latest Designer Collection. Resulting in the most innovative, vibrant and sophisticated bathroom products, this new collection seeks to reinstate the bathroom as a place for pampering and relaxation as well as daily ablutions.

This undertaking has led to a successful collaboration with the world renowned French designer; Christophe Pillet. Since training in Milan in 1991, Pillet has not been restricted to one discipline. His diverse projects and roles exploring product and furniture design, interior decoration, architecture and artistic direction have led to a noteworthy list of clients including; Cappellini, Driade, Ecart International, L’Oréal, Lacoste, Moroso, Porro, Serralunga and Renault.

Christophe Pillet was a natural choice for VitrA when it came to selecting designers to collaborate with as he is known for his stylish, functional and elegant designs. This collaboration has led to the creation of the refined and timeless Memoria collection which spans sanitaryware, furniture and brassware.

Darren Paxford, National Sales Manager, VitrA UK comments on the relationship, “It’s really exciting to see a designer create such elegant and beautiful pieces that can play a functional and vital role in people’s day-to-day lives.  His pieces do not shout for attention; they have a quiet beauty that lends the bathroom a true sense of modern sophistication”.
