trojan plastics_Trojan Plastics is planning to acquire sanitaryware manufacturers that complement its business.
The Huddersfield bath manufacturer, which grew by more than 15% last year following a restructure, said it was particularly interested in acquiring manufacturers of high-end products.

The company has invested £1.2m in the last two years, after bringing in a Leeds-based tax team from Grant Thornton to help it develop a new strategy for future growth. MD David Mosley said the business had been steered “through some difficult times” and had emerged “with a healthy balance sheet, cash reserves and no debt”.

The company has introduced two new production lines, added a warehouse, increased its fleet to 11 trailers and upped its workforce to 180 people. Its product range has also extended with the addition of Aquair whirlpool baths, a range of floorstanding baths and ‘Bathe Easy’ easy-access baths.

Mosley said: “The upturn in the market means the time is right to forge ahead with our plans to continue to invest internally and look to make acquisitions, which will complement our existing product range and reinforce our position as a premium supplier both in the UK and beyond.”
