Paola Lenti wins the Red Dot Award 2021 with Harbour, the new outdoor seating system designed by Francesco Rota. After the prizes awarded in the past for the Move and Uptown sofas and for the Lido and Telar individual seats, once again the Red Dot jury recognizes the company’s ability to create products that are a synthesis of innovation and tradition and the particular attention paid to the sustainability and balance between the functional and aesthetic aspects of its projects.

Since 1955, the Red Dot Award has been awarded to the best design products presented during the previous year. An international jury, made up of over 50 experts in the sector, select them from among thousands of applications and evaluate the aspects of functionality, formal quality and ecological compatibility.

Comfortable and inviting, versatile and flexible, the seatings Harbour stand out for the essential, elegant and well-designed details and for the technological content of the materials used: Maris, a weight bearing fabric, which is fully recyclable, waterproof and easy to maintain and the marine grade stainless steel used for the back and armrests. Furthermore, AerelleĀ® blue, the fiber originating from recycling the single-use plastic, used for the padding of the cushions and the exclusive and sustainable upholstery fabrics, designed to withstand the stresses of the outdoor environments and in line with the modern principles of the circular economy.

As always, the awarded projects will be presented to the public in an exhibition organized at the Red Dot Design Museum in Essen.
