The London Fabric Show 2016 was held on February 29 and March 1, sponsored by British Furniture Manufacturers (BFM) at the Chelsea FC. The show was given the verdict of being successful by both exhibitors and visitors.
Compared to last year, the Show witnessed an increase in individual visitor numbers by 88% on the first day and by 58% overall for this year. The number of visiting companies attending the Show rose by 33% over the two days.
Visitors were treated to a wide variety of fabrics from the show’s 33 exhibitors, including some of the best producers from Belgium, Italy, Spain, Turkey and the UK. Both exhibitors and visitors expressed their satisfaction with the Show, pledging to return in 2017.
The UK’s Abraham Moon & Sons commented, “We have been pleased with the quality of the buyers we have seen – old and new, the venue works well and will definitely be back next year.”
Visiting the Show, Jo Moore from Spink & Edgar said, “There are some great exhibitors here and it has been very useful for us to attend, the venue is good too and we’ve met some good friends from the industry.”
MD of the BFM, Jackie Bazeley shared, “We are delighted that the 2016 London Fabric Show has been such a success and have been highly complimented by both exhibitors and visitors. In our membership we have a great number of prestigious UK upholstery companies and see it as important that we organise this show to give them, and other UK manufacturers, an unparalleled opportunity to see some of the best fabric producers in the world – in one venue. This highly-individual show is growing, we already have a waiting list of companies wishing to exhibit next year.”
