The furniture makers companyThe Furniture Makers’ Company has arranged a further Seminar on February 11, 2014 which focuses on two topical and key issues faced by businesses. This seminar has been organised by Liveryman Peter Checketts of RHG, Chartered Insurance Brokers and you are warmly invited to attend.

Effective Credit Management should form the cornerstone of any successful business. Within an average SME, around 40% of its assets lie in its outstanding debtor book.  And with 50% of company defaults coming from long standing, stable relationships, it is too difficult to predict which of your clients will or will not be safe to trade with.  Yet, many companies fail to recognise not only the inherent risks to their business, but also how an effective credit policy can be used to elicit business growth.

Following the presentation you will know:
• The risks – and how to manage them effectively
• Information sources – What to look for
• How to grow your business through effective Credit Management

Workplace Pensions Reform ¬ also known as “Auto Enrolment”. Every employer will, over the course of the next 3 years, have to comply with the new rules and put in place a pension scheme for their employees. Not only that, they will have to contribute to those schemes as well. The penalties for non-compliance are severe and the enforcement regime will target those companies who are not playing by the rules.
