Clarity of expression and a taste for essential shapes bring together Frag and French designer Christophe Pillet together, the collaboration has led to the creation of numerous products that over the years have conferred value and modernity to the company catalogue. A consolidated cooperation that began in 2007 and has enriched the Frag collection with refined and elegant seats, minimalistic accent tables, modern sofas and sophisticated storage units.
Clubby is a collection of club armchair and pouf with rounded contours, inspired by the chairs found in Parisian fumoirs. The proportions and lines of this series make it ideal for public areas and the uses commonly requested by contract clients. The chair has a cylindrical frame acting as a seat, with a semicircular back, upholstered and enclosed by an enveloping shell on the back. Thanks to a variety of finishes and upholstery, the shell is the main feature of the design, leaving ample room for creative inspiration: saddle leather shell and leather upholstery, single-texture with leather or fabric throughout, or leather on the outside and fabric on the inside. There are also special versions with a shell made from braided leather, ideal for bespoke designs.
Clubby pouf simplifies the lines of this series, again featuring the rounded contours and decorative aspect, and with the same upholstered cylinder and revolving brass base.
Iki is a seating characterized by a strong and modern design. The chair, which plays upon the basic square shape of the seat and of the backrest, is combined with a structure in chromed-steel and walnut-stained ash; a masculine appearance with strong character, suitable for the home office and more formal contract areas, but also for contemporary domestic backdrops.
Privè is a family of storage units that unites 1960 style inspirations, contemporary lines and precious materials, making care for details its own characteristic mannerism. The concept of Privè combines elements of great materiality, such as its walnut case, the glass shelves and the leather details of the top and of the accessories, along with a design made of thin weights, 45° edges and the lightness of the four thin little legs in dark brushed steel tubing.
The collection includes two side boards and one cup board: both models are finished on all sides, opening the way to many placements that see Privè in various settings in the home. Impeccable as a centerpiece in a spacious living area or against the wall in a dining area or entryway, Pillet’s project becomes an object that houses, reveals and hides; a special place which is intimate and public at the same time.
