The Spring/Summer 2017 collection, Scenes of Splendour, by Danish brand Ferm Living was presented at the MAISON&OBJET furniture show from January 20 to 24 in Paris. The new collection found its inspiration in the atmosphere of French salons in the decadent days. It is a selection of bold contours and tranquil textures.
The brand states: “The new collection acts as a prelude to dramatic moments in the midst of a serene scenery. Situated in the calm before the storm, it is the realisation of our vision of Nordic simplicity meeting the decadence of bygone eras.”
The decadent glimpses appear in rich nuances and create new liaisons between modesty and extravagance. The focus is on soft textures of an entirely new line of bedding, mirrors with antique effects and cushions made from an eclectic bouquet of fashion textiles.
The new Salon Cushions use a delectable mix of fashion fabrics, offering offer a beautiful splash of colour and a glamour zephyr in your modest abode.
The Adorn mirror, available in both wall-mounted and standing versions, makes a more modest nod to decorative periods in design, with brass detail framing its top and bottom ends.
The Coupled Candleholder and tray integrate the vibrancy of refracted lights and creates a play of light and silhouette, allowing for sophisticated arrangements to transpire.
The Scenes of Splendour collection also includes champagne saucers, duvet covers pillow cases, knitted dishcloths, towels and a bedding series.
