Clerkenwell Design Week 2014 proved to be the most successful to date for the Boss Design Group. Our showroom celebrated the best of British design, creativity, and commerce.
There was a fantastic atmosphere in the showroom throughout the three day festival and our exciting new lines Toto and Zandy were launched to rave reviews.
As well as the launch of our new products we welcomed award winning designer Rock Galpin, who hosted a talk entitled ‘Brand Britain & Beyond’. The talk explored his thoughts on how British design is defined. There was a tremendous amount of interest attracting many high profile Architects and Designers from the industry.
Another highlight from our event was the return of the ‘Student Designer of the Year’ competition. The students were tasked with designing a piece of furniture for today’s collaborative office and presenting their ideas to a panel of judges. The panel consisted of Kathryn O’Callaghan of The Interiors Group, Brian Szpakowski of Interior Architects, John Mgbadiefe of Bisset Adams and Simon Riden of T P Bennett. Claire Darmody from Nottingham Trent University was named the winner with the ‘Embrace’ collection.
