China International Kitchen and Bathroom Expo (CKIB) once again confirmed its position as one of the leading built-in kitchen shows in China. Jointly organised by Koelnmesse and China National Hardware Association (CNHA), CIKB 2016 closed on October 23 with very good results.
Over 23,000 visitors came to the professional kitchen fair in China this year. In comparison to the previous year, a significant increase in attendance of 33% was recorded. With the joint efforts of Koelnmesse & CNHA, and great support from AMK and LivingKitchen, CIKB created new records in terms of exhibition space, number of exhibitors and visitors. On the area of 27,000 square meters around 200 exhibitors from 11 countries and regions displayed their latest products and technologies.
The focus of the fair was set once again on the “Modern Built-In Kitchen”. CIKB is also the showcase for LivingKitchen, the international trade fair for kitchen furniture, kitchen appliances and accessories – held every two years in Cologne, Germany. This was reflected in the participation of many familiar German companies, known from LivingKitchen, within the German pavilion – supported by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
Besides Bosch and Siemens with own big booths, well-known brands like nobilia, Nolte, zeyko, MHK, CARAT, allmilmö, Nolff, Ballerina, Hailo, Hettich, Suspa attended this German joint booth. Other top brands from Europe such as Smeg, Blum and Franke as well as from local market such as Haier, Fotile, Robam, Midea, Arda guaranteed the quality of the event.
President and CEO of Koelnmesse, Gerald Böse commented, “CIKB 2016 was a total success. The international kitchen show received top marks both in terms of quality and quantity this year and thus further reinforced its position as the leading trade fair for the kitchen industry in China. We had a very positive feedback to the range of offers and the presences of the exhibitors in the exhibition hall as well to the supporting program. This shows us that CIKB has been set as an obligatory date within the industry. All in all, we are very satisfied with CIKB 2016.”
