The A.B.C.D. armchair designed by Antonio Citterio received the Menzione D’Onore – hounorable mention – at the Compasso d’Oro ADI award ceremony held in Milan.
Founded in 1954, the Compasso d’Oro ADI award is the oldest and most authoritative prize for industrial design in the world, selecting products that stand out for their originality and functional-typological innovation, product ion processes, the materials used and the formal synthesis achieved.
The A.B.C.D. armchair is the re-design of the iconic A.B.C. armchair produced in 1996. The combination of wide squared cushions and their cubic shape defined by a metal frame is one of the project motivations that establish its new value.
