The Pure Talents Contest, organized in cooperation with the German Design Council, is held every year at imm cologne to give a platform to enterprising young designers. This year too, 19 contest entries by design students and graduates from all over the world had been chosen for this special exhibition.
French artist designer Aurelie Hoegy has won the Pure Talents Contest 2016 for her seating project “Dancers”. Pushing the limit between contemporary design and art, Hoegy works across a variety of different mediums including drawing, film-making, object design and installation.
Aurelie Hoegy has recently completed her master’s degree in Contextual Design at the Design Academy Eindhoven, with a project exploring the border between normality and abnormality in daily life. Her series “Dancers” continues to explore on this subject.
