Brighouse based Siddall and Hilton Products Limited has been awarded FIRA Gold Certification for their furniture springs.
To achieve FIRA Gold the springs were assessed against specified durability levels through rigorous pounding tests conducted by FIRA International. The tests the ‘Zig Zag Springs: FPG S042’ were subjected to included a static load test of 2,000 newton’s for 200,000 continuous cycles to gauge long-term performance.
Following the tests, FIRA International also undertook a comprehensive factory assessment. During the visit the auditor noted the excellent manufacturing quality assurance processes and controls in place.
Speaking on the FIRA Gold Certification, Neil Stewardson, Managing Director, at Siddall and Hilton Products said “Springs are a fundamental upholstery component and the issuing of the FIRA Gold Certification will further reinforce our customers’ confidence that Siddall and Hilton Products is a reputable supplier of reliable, high quality springs.
“We utilise our in house laboratory and rigorous quality procedures (which were recently audited for compliance with ISO9001:2015) to comprehensively test wire material, all production stages and finished springs. We are proud to have supplied the leading UK and European upholstery manufacturers with a wide portfolio of spring products from our privately owned Yorkshire business for 117 years.”
Alongside Siddall and Hilton Products there are also a further 46 organisations from across the furniture supply chain who hold a FIRA Gold certification for products (including bathroom, bedroom, components, kitchen, office, upholstery and worktop products) and 14 organisations who hold FIRA Gold for their installation services.
