For the D’ Days event in Paris, which took place from May 31 to June 5, Neri&Hu architects put up a special installation at the Poltrona Frau showroom.
Deployed on a black platform in perfect order, the 30 structures of Ren side table, made of solid bleached ash wood, are lined up with the other four pieces of the collection in Canaletto walnut, which break the continuity.
Ren, in Chinese, means “human being”. The versatile products of the collection are like small butlers who “serve” the most characteristic products of Poltrona Frau. This installation allows for a cross-reading, expressing continuity and enhancing the dialogue between Chinese traditions and contemporary cultures.
The 30 side tables of Ren special collection are a limited edition, numbered from 1 to 30 with a laser engraving on the bottom of the top. The bleached pigmented oil treatment enhances the natural grain of the solid ash wood with a saddle-leather top in Saddle Extra Carbone colour.
The limited edition will only be available for the French market.
