EDIT by designjunction Ends Successfully

designjunctionPresenting 25 international brands, welcoming 800 guests at the opening party, 920 journalists and more than 10,000 visitors across six days, EDIT by designjunction was once again a vibrant destination at the heart of this year’s Salone del Mobile.

 

Stellar Works collaborated with the craftsmen of Arita (the porcelain capital of Japan) to initiate a three-year-long project to develop new ways of using porcelain for contemporary products, brought to life through daily, live demonstrations of traditional porcelain painting and Japanese Tea Ceremonies.

 

Utopia & Utility launched new collection Branch Bowl, featuring their trademark handblown glass. Sir Kenneth Grange visited EDIT in Milan to launch April sofa for Modus, designed in collaboration with recent RCA graduate Jack Smith.

 

Sundays design provided outdoor furniture for our Visa VIP Lounge, located in the garden area, offering a calm and tranquil place for people to meet and greet. Canvas Chair was a great success on the Innermost stand.

 

SodaStream brought the central courtyard space to life with the global launch of Electric Source by Yves Behar. A slick working production line demonstrated the customisation process of PLAY, allowing visitors to design, create and purchase their own PLAY machine.

 

Bordering the central courtyard, COVER Magazine presented Jan Kath’s impressive display of contemporary rugs. The Green Room by the UKTI presented a selection of eco-sustainable products from a variety of renowned designers and companies including work from Ercol, Donna Wilson, Dyson, SCP, Niche London and Made in Ratio.
New products launches also from EOQ, Resident, Adentro, Innermost, Modus, ZAVA, Baroncelli, Flux and Monica Correia.
