In 2021, Very Wood is further exploring the existing collaborations in its catalogue, confirming its intention to expand and enrich its coordinated range, consisting of different product categories that can meet the most varied needs. The company has always collaborated with numerous internationally renowned designers with different design identities, each with their own story and identity, bound together, like an archipelago, by artisan quality, technical expertise and unique creativity, the hallmarks of all the brand’s creations, which meaningfully express the current significance of welcoming, hospitality and conviviality, namely the Contract world.
The EGADIlinedesigned by Rodolfo Dordonifeatures a balanced relationship between the different parts: the upholstered elements, the backrest and the light and well-proportioned seat appear suspended, as if they were floating, on the solid ash wood structure, clearly showing the design of the frame and emphasizing the special wood processing. This harmonious counterpoint makes it the standout feature of rooms characterized by minimal, understated elegance.
The chairs are available with three different types of backrests, a distinction that helps meet the many versatility needs of the contract market: a lighter cockpit solution and two higher backrests in versions with and without armrests. Distinguished by their contemporary appeal and playful character, the CIGAR and CRAYON tables by Patricia Urquiola are designed for informal indoor or outdoor(and outdoor marine) areas with a focus on socializing. Thanks to the customized different colours and materials of their constituent parts (base, column and top), these tables are a versatile solution for contract spaces.
The model is named after the shape of the tip of the central leg, which either resembles a pencil poised to draw (Crayon) or a softer silhouette that amusingly recalls a cigar (Cigar).
