Bentwood furniture manufacturer, TON Solutions are starting the new year with three completely new products – Moon, Hexagon and Trapez. The ongoing furnishing fair imm Cologne 2016 witnessed the launch of these products for the first time at Stand No. B20 in Hall 11.1 C21.
Designer Michal Riabič says, “The Moon set includes a chair and an armchair with an unobtrusive design, which however place great emphasis on ergonomics from the very beginning of the development process, thereby providing exceptional seating comfort”. Both variants of the model are fully-upholstered and made of solid wood. Regarding these seats their conservative forms are revived through the interesting solution of the armrests, which grow out of the rear of the seating´s construction.
Hexagon has been designed by the creative duo Yonoh. The heart of this table, with its central pedestal, is composed of a cast-iron hexagonal base, finished in black. The central tube enables Hexagon to assume two heights – that of a classical dining room as well as bar-height. Customers can then play with the materials and shapes of the upper table-top when selecting the option to suit.
Trapez is the creation of table-designer Michael Schneider who says, “The inspiration for the design of this innovation is based on its name. It includes both a clearly defined geometric shape, as well as an extruded trapezoid that conflates perfect interplay with zero gravity.” The design incorporates lightness of style, timeless design and functionality. Trapez, thanks to the narrow table-top affords a deluxe seating area. Its stability and strength on the other hand, are guaranteed by its slanting legs – resembling an aircraft wing´s profile.
