The shortlist for this year’s European Hotel Design Awards has been unveiled, with interior designers up for awards across 10 categories.
Design company Denniston – led by Belgian Jean-Michel Gathy – is shortlisted for two awards in the Bedrooms and Bathrooms category: Aman Canal Grande, Venice, Italy, and The Chedi Andermatt, Switzerland.
Design companies for London hotels including Ham Yard Hotel, pictured, created by Kit Kemp, and Rosewood London, by Tony Chi & Associates, are also shortlisted in the category, along with The Guest House Vienna, Austria, by Conran & Partners.
The awards, organised by Sleeper Magazine, aim to recognise outstanding hotel design and architecture, and the work of architects and designers, with categories including Suite, Spa and Wellness, Adaptive Re-Use, Renovation and Newbuild. The final results will be announced at a ceremony held at the Park Plaza, Westminster Bridge, London on November 25.
