Second edition of Italian Design Day celebrated

Italian Design DayThe second edition of Italian Design Day was celebrated on March 1. A hundred professionals, including architects, designers, academics, businessmen, critics and communicators presented the very finest of Italian industrial design, to a public consisting of professionals and enthusiasts.

 
100 cities were involved from around the world, 100 events were scheduled to take place simultaneously, and 100 Italian ambassadors invested with a mission to recount exclusively Italian talent in the creation of innovative and high aesthetic content, thus promoting an international debate, in preparation for the XXII Triennale di Milano 2019.

 
The project has been jointly developed by a team activated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, Triennale di Milano, ICE Agenzia (Italian Trade & Investment Agency), Salone del Mobile.Milano, ADI, Fondazione Compasso d’Oro and Fondazione Altagamma, and involves all public and private actors that represent quality Italian design, including exponents of the business world and the training sector: in total approximately fifty stakeholders consisting of associations, federations, universities and design schools.

 
Studio Piuarch also represented the excellence of the design sector and was selected to illustrate the complex relations between project and sustainable policies.
