Salone del Mobile gets ready to come to Shanghai

The best production of Made in Italy furniture will be brought tp stage at the SEC– Shanghai Exhibition Center – from November 19 to 21. Featuring a top premium selection of 55 Italian brands, the event will showcase an equal selection of sample brands of Italian lifestyle – fashion, automotive, food & beverage.

 
An exhibition that will make visitors a unique experience thanks to a preparation project created and tailored specifically for the SEC by Arch. Alessandro Colombo (Studio Cerri & Associati) that will accompany the guests in a well done itinerary of beauty to discover beauty, craftsmanship, luxury and elegance of Made in Italy products.

Master Classes

 
The consolidated event of the Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai which takes abroad the voice of Italian architects of international fame. The award-winning architect and urbanist Stefano Boeri will be there to strengthen the encounter between the two metropolises – Milan and Shanghai. Also present will be Fabio Novembre, architect and designer; Marco Romanelli, architect and designer in the field of interior architecture; and Tiziano Vudafieri, who operates between Milan and Shanghai, ranging from architecture to interior design of private and public spaces, design for hospitality and product design.

The first event to pay special attention on young designers becoming immediately a meeting place for excellence among entrepreneurs-talent scout and the most promising designers. Its creation – in 1998 – was an act of faith in the creative potentials of the young people under 35; after the iSaloni WorldWide di Mosca, now it debuts in China, with its first edition that involves the most prestigious design schools of the country.

Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai received a huge support by the Government, particularly from the Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni and the Minister of the Economic Development Carlo Calenda, the Italian Trade Agency, the Italian Ambassador in Beijing Ettore Sequi and the most important Italian institutions in China.
