Published on : Friday, August 28, 2020

In 2020, Northern celebrates a total of 15 years of operation of their creative studio. In celebration of this anniversary they focus their attention to the development path and history. Northern takes another look at the things that are close to them and the many wonderful objects that they have already incorporated into their collection. Objects that they truly treasure and appreciate.

Oslo Wood in new colour

Oslo Wood was originally designed in 2006. The Oslo Wood lamp series is their most popular global design and is treasured and cherished by people in an abundance of homes and public spaces. The colour range is now extended to include a beige, light grey and matt white lamp base combined with lamp shades in white, olive green and caramel.

Birdy in Black and Steel

Designed by Birger Dahl from Norway back in 1952 and winner of the Golden Medal at the Milan triennale in 1954, the Birdy lamp is one of the most famous and recognized pieces of Norwegian design throughout history.

In this year of celebration they in Northern pay tribute to this mature hottie by adding a new colour and material finish combination of black and steel.

Yam in Leather

One of the key pieces Northern launched back in 2018 when they morphed into a complete lifestyle collection was the Yam seat series, designed by Mattias Stenberg from Sweden. A set of lowslung contemporary seats made with high-class fabrics.

This year Northern presents the lounge chair in a beautiful leather upholstery for the complete backrest and seat. The hides originate from Argentina and are crafted into upholstery by Danish leather experts Sørensen Leather.
