hansgrohe-logoHansgrohe unveiled innovative mixer and shower technology and new products from both its brands at the key SHK 2014, regional trade fair in Essen. The convenience of Hansgrohe’s Select button, which can be used to turn mixers on and off, was introduced to the kitchen in the form of the Hansgrohe Metris Select kitchen mixer, which celebrated its eagerly anticipated début; which means that Select technology has conquered yet another area of usage – with the recent opening of a whole new chapter, in terms of convenience, by Hansgrohe showers and thermostats featuring the Select button.

Hansgrohe brand manager and Deputy Chairman of Hansgrohe SE, Richard Grohe, personally unveiled the innovative new product during the specialist trade fair. He enjoyed demonstrating exactly how the Metris Select works on the sink unit to trade visitors and cameras, pressing the button again and again: illustrating how easy it is to operate the mixer while you’re on the go, using the back of your hand or elbow, even if you have no (clean) hands free. “We have succeeded in making working in the kitchen that much easier and more convenient”, said Richard Grohe.

Hansgrohe also brought some innovative new bathroom products to Essen: the new Logis mixer range combines precision with smoothness, in a distinctive design. “With their surfaces, clear lines and rounded edges, the new mixers are easy on the eye and also to the touch”, said Hansgrohe Product Manager Axel Meißner. With their design concept, the Logis mixers will blend in perfectly with many ceramic ranges.

The new shower products from designer brand Axor attracted a great deal of attention. The products, developed in collaboration with Swedish design trio Front and Japanese design studio Nendo, were presented in full working order and encouraged lots of visitors to the stand to take a closer look at the details: for example, the intuitive usability of the Axor ShowerProducts designed by Front and the natural interplay between the wreath of rain and ambient lighting in the Axor LampShower designed by Nendo.
