The interdisciplinary design duo Studio Besau-Marguerre has started 2020 with a number of projects. Besau-Marguerre is truly excited to share the information on latest products and projects. The Hamburg-based design studio gives one an insight into the work of them.

Studio Besau-Marguerre is an interdisciplinary design studio based in the heart of Hamburg. With a holistic design approach, the designers Eva Marguerre and Marcel Besau work across the fields of product design, visual communication, styling and interior design. With a keen sense for bold colours, experimental forms and unusual materials as well as a passionate attention to detail, Studio Besau-Marguerre designs individual concepts, that due to the versatile expertise of the team, allow for holistic brand consulting and an integrated concept realisation from a single source.

Sediment Table Series for Favius

For the German design brand favius, Studio Besau-Marguerre designed the sculptural table series Sediment, which plays with the material marble. Rough and polished stripes alternate and transform the feel and colour of the material in two different ways.

Studio Besau-Marguerre was also responsible for the open and architectural stand design of the brand at imm cologne: with the use of plinths and curtains that were printed on both sides, Besau-Marguerre created a strong stage for the new releases as well as for the high-end collection of elegant furniture and accessories with character.

Wall Shelf for fürstenberg

With the distinct side table Plisago, which is completely made of fine porcelain, the successful cooperation of Studio Besau-Marguerre and the German high-end porcelain brand Fürstenberg started. In January this year at Maison&Objet, an extension of the Plisago series was introduced: a wall shelf, also with the pleated aesthetic and made from finest porcelain.

SimetrIa for Schönbuch

For the brand Schönbuch, Studio Besau-Marguerre designed a modular wall shelf, which was first introduced at imm cologne 2020. This product is available in a number of shapes and colours, the elements can be easily combined with each other to create individual installations.

Beside that, for several years now Studio Besau-Marguerre successfully collaborates with the renowned design brands Vitra and Artek. From shop design and fair exhibition design to the Vitra Museum exhibition design – the concepts by Studio Besau-Marguerre convince with their individual colour combinations and holistic design concept. In January, a 400 sqm large Vitra Shop in Kuala Lumpur with the retail design by Studio Besau-Marguerre was opened, Singapur and Shenzen will follow in the course of this year.
