MFS_Logo_2014The Morris Furniture Group, supporter of the Manchester Furniture Show, has just confirmed a further three year deal with the organisers.

The Glasgow-based Company will show its four flagship brands at the Summer event (July 13-16, Manchester Central) – Morris Furniture, G Plan Cabinets, Zone and Relaxateeze – on its prominent 460 sq mtr stand.
Said Furniture Fairs joint organiser Laraine Janes: “We’re delighted to have secured the Morris Furniture Group for a further three years. The Company has supported the Show since we started running it 16 years ago and continues to be a mainstay for the event.

The Show offers an opportunity to do business and spend time with customers in an iconic city centre location. The event is known for its relaxed and welcoming atmosphere and the timing is also perfect for Autumn deliveries.”
Other well-known and branded companies lined up to attend the Show include Corndell, Baker Furniture, Buoyant, Furmanac, Furniture Origins, Morris Group, Greenapple, Kingstown and La-Z-Boy.

Theresa Raymond and Laraine Janes confirm plans for a new furniture show at the NEC for 2015. The furnishing industry’s annual January showcase at the NEC will continue. Exhibition organisers Laraine Janes and Theresa Raymond have confirmed they will launch a new Furniture Show at the Birmingham venue from 18-20 January 2015.

As the people behind the Manchester Furniture Show and, for the past four years, organisers of the Bed Show on behalf of the Bed Federation, Theresa and Laraine will work with the NEC to produce a more commercially viable exhibition to embrace the whole of the furniture industry.

They said: “We are delighted to have secured the tenancy at the NEC for 2015. There are still a few details to be ironed out, but there will be a January Show in 2015. The rumour mill has been working overtime this week, so we felt it best to declare our hand.

We have been overwhelmed by the level of support from exhibitors at this week’s show. We will be going ‘back to basics’ offering a furniture show that is competitively priced, at a time of year when retailers are buoyant following the January sales.”
