Mineheart has teamed up with celebrated artist Simon Schubert to create the Paper Palace mural collection inspired by his extraordinary paper-folding artworks. Simon Schubert’s enigmatic and ethereal art works are made using intricate paper manipulation techniques. Depicting two palatial Baroque-inspired interiors, the low relief of the folds and the soft light and shade gives each large scale mural an ethereal beautiful aura.

Also launching at 100% Design will be Young & Battaglia’s most provocative foray into furniture yet, in the form of the Corset Chair. Love it or hate it, the corset has long been associated with the Victorian desire for the perfect hourglass figure and here it has been combined with a traditional Victorian-style armchair in an iconic combination of history and design. Young & Battaglia have created a unique back for the chair which is hand-made from leather and laced with satin ribbon. This surprising design twist elevates this chair into a statement piece.

Young & Battaglia’s signature King Edison lamp range, which features a miniature Kings chandelier within a handblown glass shade, has also been expanded with two new additions: the King Edison Ghost in black glass and the King Edison Trio chandler featuring three bulbs in a cascading chandelier design.

Young & Battaglia stated: “The idea behind Mineheart is to create a playground for creativity and discovery, where art meets design, and poetry meets industry. We try to inject a sense of wonder into everyday objects and spaces around us, telling stories and creating things that are truly surprising.”

All the new additions to the range express Mineheart’s philosophy of creating avant-garde design that pushes the boundaries between art and design.
