Italian brand B-Line presented the Merano lounge chair by Raffaella Mangiarotti and Ilkka Suppanen at the Milan Design Week 2017. Combines clean straight Scandinavian lines with ‘Made in Italy’ style, the lounge chair is suitable as an indoor or outdoor piece of furniture that can be placed both in private and public spaces.
The chair is made of a galvanised, painted steel rod. It is designed to be easily transported and stored thanks to its tubular lightweight frame. The frame holding the cushions can be divided into two parts which, when separated, decrease its volume and significantly reduce packaging.
To enhance its relaxation capacity, the lounge chair can be completed with a comfortable pouf/footrest, which can also be used as an occasional chair.
