Another show postponed due to the sudden outbreak of novel coronavirus. Owing to the ongoing epidemiological situation in the world, to ensure the highest efficiency and best international and national presence at the show, Organisers’ Committee decided to postpone the exhibition from April to the end of August. The unique and most important Central Asian international exhibition for production technologies, woodworking, furniture components and ready furniture – MebelExpo Uzbekistan 2020 has been postponed to 26-28 August 2020.

Throughout 17 years MebelExpo Uzbekistan has been one of the major international trade exhibitions for the furniture and woodworking industries in Uzbekistan. It serves as the unique platform for business communication for manufacturers and retailers of furniture, suppliers of most up-to-date equipment, tools, components and wooden products, and interior design specialists from across the Central Asian region. In 2019, 107 world’s best companies and brands from 20 countries exhibited in the show. MebelExpo Uzbekistan 2019 was attended by over 5500 professionals from Central Asia, the CIS and countries further afield. And this year it is expected to grow even bigger.
Recently, Uzbekistan has emerged as one of the most attractive emerging woodworking and furniture markets, with a population of over 34 mln people and market potential worth over $ 1 bln. annually. Hence, the exhibitors are eager to participate and boost business through trade shows and exhibitions.
It imports the wooden products at 0% import tax rate supporting its domestic woodworking and furniture industry. In 2019 it has opened its market for the ready imported furniture too which enabled the numerous European, Russian, Turkish, Chinese brands to open its stores across the country.
