The Russian Interior Designer, Marina Filippova created an eclectic and charming apartment for her customers with a curated selection of design furniture.

Customers wanted an artistic interior that was comfortable and in line with their lifestyle. The interior designer offered to bring that though modern design, highlighting it with a bright neutral background. But first had to think about the layout, the apartment of 300 m² in the center of Moscow is built around a staircase and an elevator shaft, and it was necessary to use every meter square in this complex layout.

Marina divided the contemporary apartment into two parts: from the hallway to the left is the public area, to the right – private, and in the center is the owner’s office. The public area is developed along the facade facing the street, and it is just a sequence of spaces the kitchen, the dining room and the living room, easily flowing into each other and separated by transparent sliding doors.

In order to visually divide the modern living room into two parts, the designer came up with the original screen of transparent tubes made of Plexiglas. In order to adjust the elongated proportions of the social areas, she extended the ceiling.

In the interior design project and taking into account the wishes of customers, she found a balance between masculine and feminine, combining soft, rounded lines and shapes that appear in the furniture design, and accessories, and also dark shades are combined with airy and elegant. For example, both rooms are decorated with the same crystal chandeliers from Venini, replicas of products from the same factory of the 1950s.

The attention to modern details is fabulous: it was necessary to combine the work of several Russian and Italian brands of luxury furniture and, select the necessary accessories so that in the end everything looked beautiful and balanced. “I felt the confidence of the entire project from the customers, and it was very encouraging, I wanted to do more and better so that everyone would like everything,” says the interior designer.
