Luca Nichetto Completes Scandinative Installation

THE-SCANDINATIVE-WORKSPACE-BY-LUCA-NICHETTO-KINNARPS_nichettofullScandinative is the dynamic installation designed by Studio Nichetto according to the 5 concepts of Kinnarps: customised work environment and unexpected architectural paths that encourage creativity, risky choices that increase creative individuality, play that neutralizes social and hierarchical structures encouraging innovation, and finally informal meeting areas that facilitate the emergence of creative solutions.
The goal of the installation – which is built on multiple levels that intersect with each other creating multiple paths and points of view, from which the visitor can watch the show in different ways – is to link design and creativity with the work environment in a dynamic way.

The environments and paths created by the installation are constantly changing through the use of movable walls, characterized by a variety of colors and harmonious textures. It is a roundup of work areas, green islands with trees and plants, and ponds that surprise the visitor and entice him/her to pick from new and unexpected directions. A walkway on two sides of the installation creates a raised path from which one can admire every detail of the exposed environments.
In the play area a stretch of water, suggestive of the many lakes that dot Sweden, sharpens creativity by being a reference to childhood and to one of the pastimes of that age: to compete with friends in skipping flat stones across the water.

‘What I need in my ideal workspace’ is condensed in this project, a space where the user constantly finds himself in front of a new juncture, which, by its own nature, imposes a choice and, above all, it changes the perspective. Similar to what happens in Venice during the high water (acqua alta): where you need to change your usual routes and the obstructed alleys force you to find new ways, says Luca Nichetto.
