Low impact external monocouche render by Saint-Gobain Weber has been specified by Places for People, one of the UK’s largest property management and development companies, for phase one of a 600+ homes community at Marlborough Park, Swindon.

Marlborough Park is a prestigious environmentally friendly new neighbourhood which adjoins a golf course and offers glorious views over the Wiltshire countryside.  To date this development has been designed in a contemporary style and main contractor Wates Construction, Bristol has delivered the build to an exceptional quality and finish.

Colour is an important element of the modern, visual effect being created at Marlborough Park with Earth and Cream being used from a wider palette of 24 modern and traditional colours, providing a durable, decorative and weather resistant finish.  Network Weber approved applicator E & H Drylining, Melksham, Wiltshire was contracted to apply over 15,000m² of weber.pral M for the first phase of 230 homes.

BBA approved weber.pral M offers the multiple benefits of through-colour One-Coat Technology which is recognised for its contribution to minimising programme works.  By reducing the drying time associated with a traditional two-coat system by as much as 50%, on-site labour and the cost of scaffolding and other site equipment is significantly reduced permitting completion of ground works at an earlier stage.

Saint-Gobain Weber is the first manufacturer of monocouche render to be awarded an A+ rating as defined in the BRE Global 2008 Green Guide to Specification.  This audited material helps specifiers to make selections that will collectively reduce the environmental impact of their buildings while achieving more materials credits.

weber.pral M, a ready mixed, cementitious render is manufactured from carefully selected raw materials at facilities in Bedfordshire, Shropshire and Ireland where quality and consistency is achieved. Offering ease and speed of application it requires only the addition of clean water on site and is formulated for efficient spray application over large areas by render pump.  It can be used on most suitably prepared brick and blockwork and offers a variety of ways to achieve distinct, architectural features.

Marlborough Park offers accommodation ranging from one-bedroom apartments to four bedroom houses, and is just a stone’s throw away from some of England’s loveliest Cotswolds landscapes and villages.  Places for People are committed to each of the communities they create and are continually looking for ways to make each of them an even better, more attractive, more sustainable place to live.
