Lake Como Design Festival 2022 returns for its fourth edition with the theme of Neo-nomadism between September 17 to 25. The theme explores the movement of people between real and digital life within the context of crises such as economic divides and climate change. The festival includes exhibitions, talks and fringe events from Italian and international designers, architects and artists.
Taking place across different venues in and around Lake Como, the event aims to explore the relationship between history, architecture and design and promote the historical nature of the region.
Neo-nomadism is the theme of this fourth edition, a concept that sweeps smoothly between real and digital life: a survey on new cultural and working nomadisms, on those that have always been present in the history of humanity and linked today to the gap economic and climate change. An investigation into how the constant movement of people is characterizing this historical moment, also influencing the arts, architecture and design.
The 8-day programme includes a collective exhibition curated by Francesca Alfano Miglietti in various venues around the city, with the participation of some of the best-known Italian and international artists and designers.
