At the Design District event that took place from June 7 to 9 in the Van Nellefabriek in Rotterdam, Prooff had a great time there presenting new indoor and outdoor furniture concepts with a varied audience.
Prooff presented the JoinTable, an intelligent design by the Belgian designer and architect Bert Masselus. The JoinTable is a high table that facilitates both standing and sitting by way of tilting the central table top/seat element. This new design is a unique multifunctional meeting tool inside and out, available in a 4-person and 2-person variation.
Reminiscent of a picnic table, the JoinTable fosters conversations in an informal way. Unlike a traditional picnic table, however, this unique design can be enjoyed in many different ways as well as in numerous settings, including indoor and outdoor spaces.
Multifunctional in its use, the chairs fold down to create four seats; when closed, the standing table can accommodate several people for a meeting or a spontaneous discussion. Created by Bert Masselus of Mass-a, the JoinTable is simple in design but rich in use.
