henge 2016The Salone Internazionale del Mobile hosted HENGE’s 2016 collection designed by Massimo Castagna, Artistic Director of the brand. For the new 2016 collection, the brand experiments in the world of precious and original materials, in the quest for an exclusive perfection.

Demonstrating this research, StoneOak® and StoneElm®, fossil woods that have remained buried for centuries under the clay of the undergrowth due to geological changes and have now surfaced with an enchanting charm. HENGE located and employed them to create a limited edition of 10 pieces.

The value of new furniture and accessories that enhance the materials and quality of workmanship, unveils, for example, in the new Air Light chandelier, composed of multiple Murano glass elements featuring imperfect geometries forming a hand burnished brass empiric lighting installation.

HENGE’s understated luxury also finds expression in a series of dining tables. Stealth, supported by a laser-etched metal net shaped embellished structure with an exclusive Web Grey stone top, and the more minimalistic Zenith Table, circular, in H-Silver® featuring a Stone Cappuccino top.

Original coffee tables, that represent the synthesis between material, production technology and form: D-Code, triangular coffee tables in black burnished brass featuring Black Fantasy stone top or small black burnished brass tiles mosaic; and Galaxy, a multilevel composition of organic shapes of different sizes in black burnished brass, offered with or without smooth engravings.

HENGE’s animated shapes underlie a silent game of architectural rigor and freedom of expression that are far away from industry’s serial schemes and relive in Ketch chairs and armchairs. The first ones feature black E-Type vintage effect leather, while precious charcoal Nubuck embellishes the latter.

A timeless furniture collection able to emphasize the brand’s fine craftsmanship and to create a dialogue between functionality and passion. The Style Set wall bookcase is entirely made of precious StoneOak® with inside elements available in burnished, polished and scratched versions. Phantom totem, a sculpture-container featuring overlaid StoneOak® and H-Silver® cubes define the space while creating moving lines that celebrate graphic steadiness.

The essential romanticism of HENGE is described by the geometric and slightly futuristic lines of the Radical couch in soft deep brown E-Type leather, characterized by a structure of unseen volumes.

Pulse represents, instead, a more rationalist model, extending across the surrounding space developing its width horizontally being supported by squared two-dimensional brass feet with a hole in the center.

And finally, the burnished brass Ozone bar cabinet, featuring a Stone Cappuccino top, the iconic Bistrot bookcase and the interiors dedicated to the night area.
