ESPASSO_LogoESPASSO, a specialist in modern and contemporary Brazilian furniture, art and design objects has announced the opening of its pop-up showspace in Clerkenwell.

Committed to conserving Brazil’s iconic 20th century design heritage and promoting the work of today’s leading Brazilian designers, ESPASSO finds a new home for its collection in London design district Clerkenwell. This new address will house ESPASSO’s UK outpost and will feature a selection of exquisite works from the mid-century masters Sergio Rodrigues, Paulo Mendesde Rocha and Jorge Zalszupin, and future classics by contemporary designers Carlos Motta and Etel Carmona; all showcasing the comfort, sensuality and lasting appeal of Brazilian design. Sitting alongside this main collection is a selection of vintage pieces that further highlight the heritage and importance of Brazilian design and culture.

Carlos Junqueira, founder of ESPASSO, comments: “We are excited to have a pop-up showspace in London’s most vibrant creative hub and very much look forward to bringing the best of Brazilian design to the area. We’ve had a great response since launching in the UK in 2012, and continue to promote Brazilian design word worldwide, most recently supplying pieces to Louis Vuitton temporary shop L’Aventure in Paris, an interior decoration project by Phillippe Starck, and Tara Bernerd’s own collection.”

Ahead of the move to Clerkenwell, ESPASSO recently exhibited its collection at 100% Design during September’s London Design Festival.
