Elegant clean lines, up-to-date technological details and impeccable finishes are the ingredients of Porro’s night area.

In the bedrooms the masculine elegance of Shin bed in total black with a black stained ash structure, black painted footboard and headboard cushions in black leather is matched with a black stained hemlock Offshore bedside table as well as the new Mast walk-in closet. On its light matt black tubular metal frame, black stained hemlock protruding shelves are fitted as well as a wide rectangular mirror with blunt corners, a consistently impactful solution with a minimal, pure and original approach, for people loving caring for themselves. On the wall behind the bed, the Reflection mirror with a bronze satined, painted metal frame.

With its low, continuous, embracing volume in the warm and blonde honey shades of the heat treated elm, it is matched with a natural cord-colour fabric of the cushions, for an intimate atmosphere inviting to rest. Taiko is matched with the beloved Butler, a cylinder-shaped beside table in wood, with a grooved-tray top where to lean objects. On the back the Storage wardrobe, entirely renewed with unique materials and solutions.

Thanks to the new hinge allowing to open doors at 180°, the internal space now accounts for 150 linear cm, for a unique visual continuous experience, more attention paid to the person movement requirements inside, always at the centre of the project. The new 32S hinged door is also fitted with the new Clip flush-mounted handle in bronze, impeccably processed, suggesting traditional materials but modernly reinterpreted as well. Between the bedroom and the dressing room, a Mast composition shows burnished brass uprights and eucalyptus shelves on a crystal wall.

Among the most appreciated names of the design industry for the research on the finishes, the refinement of the lines and the technical quality of the details, Porro in the year of its 90° birthday participates in the interiors  of the Velasca Tower’s penthouse in Milan, as part of Urban Up, the redevelopment project started by the Unipol Group to valorize some of the most important Milanese buildings of its property.

The set up, curated by Peter Lissoni, creates a space for exclusive events involving the principal firms of the Italian design, where to feel the emotion of living in one of the most exclusive apartments of this icon of modern architecture, with a unique view on Milan’s skyline.

In the double-height dining room of the apartment, the scene is dominated by a large square Ferro table, in chromed stainless steel with extra-reflecting surface, the meeting place and the heart of the house. Iconic product designed by Piero Lissoni in 1994, Ferro is a timeless symbol of the purified design of this company, obtained by folding a sheet of metal with no apparent interruption.
