One of the leading producers of resin and cement-based continuous coverings for indoor and outdoor surfaces HDsurface was chosen to finish the interiors of the new spa of the Executive Spa Hotel at Fiorano Modenese.
A long-established 4-star hotel in the Sassuolo ceramics district, built in the 1980s, the Executive Spa has now been reborn further to an ambitious restyling project, designed to offer a contemporary experience and look to the future on a smart, fully plastic free, distinctively Made in Italy basis. The design, reminiscent of the ‘50s in forms and materials, has reinvented the hotel’s interiors, from the foyer to the rooms, and included the creation of a spa. The project aims to meet the needs of an increasingly sophisticated clientele by offering a customised experience, including exclusive opportunities for leisure and relaxation.
The large wellness area designed by architect Gualtiero Sacchi, comprising pool, sauna, Turkish bath, massage rooms and relaxation zone, is an absolutely new addition. This area conveys a mood of peace and wellbeing, including surfaces finished with the CoverHD collection with a unique tactile appeal, utilised as linking feature throughout the various rooms. An opaque nanoresin, CoverHD was used to provide an elegant, subtle finish for the walls, ceilings, doors and plinths of the relaxation and massage areas, creating visual continuity between the different materials and producing a welcoming, comfortable mood of calm with a regenerating effect.
In view of its versatility and its excellent technical performances, including its resistance to humidity and its hygienic properties, CoverHD was also used in the most sensitive locations, such as the ceilings of the Turkish bath, the bucket shower and the pool and as lining of the hydromassage tubs.
This new project once again underlines the quality and versatility of the HDsurface products, able to offer solutions that define the aesthetic of the spaces where they are applied, while also meeting a variety of technical needs.
