CITCO PRIVÉ to preview new collection at Salone del Mobile

A peerless mirror, a wall partition and a carpet – the new furnishing complements from Citco Privé is inspired by the Orient and its age-old tradition at the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2016. The brand of the Verona-based company looks to the seductive appeal of the Far East in its new creations, evoking faraway atmospheres while combining avant-garde and elegance, modular design and ease of transformation, solidity and dynamism.

Made in Carrara marble with brass finishings, the HIRO Mirror captures the oriental mood with neutral tones embellished by a golden sparkle, enhancing the static beauty of the pale marble, accentuating its sheen. The mirror demonstrates that Citco Privé has again been able to shape a hard, solid material like marble to make it appear light and flexible like the paper of a beautiful fan, ruffled by an exotic wind.

Citco Privé_KOJI_02The KOJI wall feature nimbly juxtaposes the bright color of the background in satin-finish copper with the enveloping blue of Azul Macaubas marble slats, suggesting a contemporary interpretation of this Asian-inspired collection. In the contrast between straight and curved lines, the composition of the panel speaks of the Far East as a gateway to new, simultaneously traditional and innovative worlds.

Citco Privé_VOLATILE_01VOLATILE is a carpet enlivened by the take-off of three herons, combining natural elements and precise hexagonal geometry. Made with a balanced combination of Sodalite Blue, Nero Assoluto and Azul Macaubas spaced by segments of polished brass, this carpet makes you forget about the density of its constituent parts, urging thought into upward flight like a heron, always a symbol of wisdom in both East and West.
