On November 28, Bisley Ireland unveiled its new showroom to the dealer and design community of Ireland. The impressive space located at Bray’s Business Park, Co. Wicklow, provides the perfect backdrop for Bisley’s broad range of storage products, in particular its latest range ‘Be by Bisley’.
The evening commenced with talks from industry experts Martin Stonehouse, Director of Healy Kelly Turner & Townsend and Phil Hutchinson, Joint Managing Director of BDG architecture + design. Martin kicked off with an overview of the Irish Construction market, providing strong anecdotal evidence to indicate that the economic decline in Ireland has ceased and the market is recovering. Phil Hutchinson followed with an insightful presentation on the evolution of the workplace. Phil discussed the impact of technology upon employee behaviour and how organisations need to design their workplaces in order to maximise staff empowerment, interaction and ultimately productivity.
Attending architects, designers and dealers were introduced to Be by Bisley, the latest product innovation from Bisley. Driven by advances in technology, lifestyle changes as well as a shifting demographic in the workplace, the requirements for office furniture and how we expect it to perform have progressed immeasurably over the last 20 years.
Enlightened organisations understand that to get the best from their employees, they need to provide an environment that supports the new workplace agenda and create an environment that is based on activity, output and variety. Historically storage has been seen as a sedentary element of a workplace that is purely functional and Be by Bisley challenges this perceived wisdom, presenting storage as the pivotal and dynamic element of the office landscape.
