zava giacoluGiacolù by Zava, the lamp which can be assembled as per the customers’ own specification, has won the German Design Award 2017 – the international prize which awards products with innovative design.

The German Design Award recognises special prizes to the best projects in industrial and communication design that contribute to the commercial success of a product. The awards, in fact, are assigned only to those projects that really make a pioneering contribution in the international design, by a jury of highly qualified and internationally recognized professionals in the world of design and art.

Giacolù, designed by Delineodesign, is a lamp which is inspired by the traditional Meccano game. A simple and ingenious idea, whose main feature is the versatile and continuously renewable form which allows everyone to be the real designer of their own lamps.

Giacolù can be all this – the source of illumination and also a particular game that allows one to build more and different shapes and objects, entertaining adults and children.

In its box, several elements are there: wood components, screws and metal bolts, and of course the light source (very safe for children because it is a low voltage Led -12 volts) that attaches to the lamp thanks to a magnet. The user just has to imagine and assemble one’s favorite lamp, no fantasy limits.
