Wendy Shorter Interiors to Host an Event by AELP

Wendy Shorter InteriorsWendy Shorter Interiors, a member of our Accredited Provider Network, is to host an event by the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP), giving advice and guidance to other training providers. Because of their excellence in upholstery and soft furnishings training, they have been asked to present and take questions from 15 other providers on April 7.

 

Wendy Shorter has received a multitude of awards including the March Heritage Crafts Trainer Award and the Craft Skills Award presented by HRH the Prince of Wales. She has an outstanding reputation in the industry, being a Fellow and Director of the Association of Master Upholsterers & Soft Furnishers (AMUSF) as well as a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Upholders.

 

She hopes this event will give other providers an insight into quality craft skills teaching,

 

“Good quality craft training of students, as well as their tutors, is very important to me. If we are to continue to deliver good quality training it is essential that the tutors also have excellent craft skills.

 

I hope that this Spotlight Session will give other training providers an insight into the delivery of good quality craft skills teaching, that is essential for the production of quality work that a future customers or employers will require of a student once they have completed their training,” Wendy Shorter, Wendy Shorter Interiors.
