Wood designer, Dave Stimac, has been making special furniture with birdseye maple wood and has evolved to making several different designs of furniture, including his highly coveted rocking chairs.
Birdseye maple wood is very unique to the Upper Peninsula because over 90 per cent of birdseye maple in the world comes from this region.
Dave says, “When you put a little bit into it, you get a lot out of it. That’s the way that I look at it. Quality is contagious, and I really try to put out a good product, and the rockers are unique and I love making them because it’s endless the themes that you can do with these.”
Each rocking chair is named after a rock and roll song.
