smeg_basic_logo_reverse_blockThe EMRA’s (Electrical Manufacturing & Retailing Awards), held at London’s Twickenham stadium brought together the biggest and best in the world of electronics to celebrate quality, innovation and design.

Smeg were thrilled to be nominated in three different awards categories (ovens, dishwashers and fridges), attending the ceremony with much excitement and expectation.

One of the most hotly contested awards of the night was the ‘Leading Design – Cooking Award’. After fighting off strong competition from 16 top competitors, Smeg were voted first place award for the SFP140. The SFP140 Multifunction oven is Smeg’s top of the range Linea model featuring a touch control, multi-menu display and pyrolitic cleaning programme. With 79 litre gross capacity, 12 cooking functions, A++ energy efficiency and beautiful aesthetics, the appliance is equipped with many industry leading features.

This is by no means the first time that the SFP140 has been awarded the top prize at an awards ceremony, with the ovens previous awards including ‘Best White Goods’ prize at the House Beautiful Awards, ‘highly commended’ in Technical Innovation, at the Innovative Electrical Retailer Magazine Awards in February and a International Good Design award in Chicago.

Testament to continued investment into R&D, product design and quality manufacturing, Smeg is delighted to receive this award as voted by specialist retailers from across the UK.
