Western Australia has been transformed into the latest Smeg showroom – its outstanding aesthetics echoing Smeg’s passion for both innovation and design.
Polished concrete, saturated blocks of colour and exposed light tracks showcase a massive 525 square metres of Smeg appliances.
Smeg’s Classic and Linear collections are positioned at the showroom entry along with the brand’s sleek freestanding cookers and comprehensive range of cooktops.
Designer Robert Bayly, recognising Smeg’s global leadership in dishwasher technology, has allocated significant space to the brand’s large collection of dishwashers plus its many configurations in beautifully designed rangehoods.
The large working kitchen, with seating for more than a dozen guests, is positioned towards the rear of the space along with the brand’s iconic collection of coloured retro design refrigerators.
Original artworks and eye-popping additions such as the SMEG500 refrigerator (beneath the bonnet of a Fiat 500) only add to the belief that this is one of the most outstanding examples of smart, innovative showroom style.
Local jarrah timbers have also been used in beautifully crafted tables and work tops.
Separated from the working kitchen – which will hold weekly retail training programmes and pre and post sales cooking demonstrations – is a space dedicated to Smeg commercial appliances plus Food Services products for the hospitality industry.
The opening of the showroom has created headlines in the West Australian State with the Mayor and CEO of the city of Nedlands staging its next Sundowner event – for 80 small business owners – in the space.
Smeg sees this latest showroom as a significant investment in both its brand and the State of Western Australia by creating a world-standard premium appliance showroom for retailers, designers, architects and developers to use with their clients.
