Smeg Bagged iF Design Award

853811For over 60 years, the iF Design Award has been recognized the world over as a label of design excellence. The iF logo is an internationally established symbol identifying outstanding achievements in design. Smeg got thrilled to let know that the Smeg toast and stand mixer,  designed in collaboration with Matteo Bazzicalupo and Raffaella Mangiarotti from deepdesign© studio, have received an iF Design Award 2015 and that they are among the winners of the renowned iF label whereas the number of competitors was huge: the international high-profile jury assessed almost 5,000 entries from 53 countries in order to determine who would receive this coveted seal of excellence.

Smeg toaster and stand mixer will be available in the If Design app, a source of inspiration, an archive, and guide to and a mirror of contemporary design, in time for the awards ceremony at BMW World in Munich next February 27, 2015.

Their award-winning toaster and stand mixer will also be featured in one of three subsequent special shows in the iF design exhibition Hamburg. The iF design exhibition Hamburg is a permanent exhibition located in the very center of Hamburg’s HafenCity, the go-to place for those with a special interest in design and architecture.
