Diesel Open Workshop is the collection by Scavolini in partnership with Diesel that spans both kitchen and bathroom, continuing the development of a style in which design meets informality, with impeccable balance.
In this project, a warm approach to the domestic environment is clear, with a strong industrial vibe. The spaces are interpreted as a place of intimacy, personality and, at the same time, sociability. At the centre, remarkable attention to style, right down to the detailing, the materials and the textures, to create simple geometry but with attractive designs, beloved by an audience that seeks “apparent” simplicity of form.
From an architectural point of view, the character of the Diesel Open Workshop is clear in the modular metallic structures with a clear industrial twist, that play the starring role in the Stock Rack system, a modular structure which, thanks to the clever mix of solids and voids, allows the construction of compositions with an unmistakable metropolitan soul, accentuated by the use of opaque shades that combine to create comfortable and casual environments.
Metal fits into this model, marking the profiles of the handle grips, the supports and the frame of the glass doors. The latter, in aluminium, is key, continuing the play on volumes which characterises the entire line. Two types are available – Smoky Glass, smoky glass with black mesh, and Ribbed Glass, diamond-patterned glass, while the lacquered version is available for the entire Scavolini range. 3 Decorative melamine finishes are also available.
The Diesel Open Workshop features the handle grip fitted on the top of the door, an aluminium profile stretching along the entire length, both horizontally (for base units) and vertically (for tall units). Another distinctive feature is the top with mirror-polished edging, with metal finish corner plaques fitted on the four corners.
For the first time, the partnership between Scavolini and Diesel also extends to the bathroom, with a charming and original proposal. The industrial style is represented here by significant use of metal, which is also found in the Stock Rack modular “shelving” system, which allows the insertion of shelves, open-fronted compartments, wall and base units of different sizes, either floor-standing or wall-mounted. Exclusively designed round and rectangular sit-on washbasins are available in white Mineralmarmo and in marble in various finishes.
As in the kitchen, handle grips have been developed, fitted on the top of the door. Dedicated mirrors complete the bathroom range, key customisation elements which highlight the uniqueness of the collection.
The Diesel Open Workshop kitchen and bathroom collection is available in a host of different configurations that combine materials and colours – for doors, tops, profiles and glazing – and represent the souls of the project, better to showcase the various facets of this model with a strong character.
