The Society of British Interior Design (SBID) – International Design Awards officially opened for submissions at the end of March and will be held in July.
According to SBID, that ‘this year’s Awards is expected to surpass previous editions’, specially with new website, judges and categories. The 15 categories of nominations include best KBB (Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom), Contract and Residential Product, Visualisation and Support Services to interior design projects. This year products will not be permitted in the KBB category, and will only be accepted within the Product categories.
Lavinia Englema, SBID marketing manager said, “We have streamlined the categories so they are more relevant to the overall design industry. They cover skills within the industry that are sometimes forgotten such as the lighting or AV, hence the new category Support Services.”
Finalists will be announced in August followed by the SBID International Design Awards ceremony at The Dorchester hotel in London on November 14.
