Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai to return in November for second edition

salone del mobile shaghaiThe organisers of Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai, held a press conference July 12 at the Italian Embassy in Beijing, revealing to the awaiting Chinese market exciting news on the second edition of the show, including the new advertising campaign image and the Italian brands that already confirmed to be at the show.

 
With a history of 56 years, Salone del Mobile.Milano is recognised worldwide as the source of inspiration and leading trend-setters in the furniture and interior design industry. In response to the great enthusiasm and interest of Chinese market for the design “Made in Italy’’, a collective of 56 top Italian furniture brands made their grand debut in China last year.

 
The second edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai will be held from November 23 to 25, 2017 at Shanghai Exhibition Center. The display area considerably increased compare to last year and even more than 100 Italian brands will be showing their best designs.

Every year, many Chinese operators visit the Show in Milan but having a presence in Shanghai unquestionably offers new possibilities of partnership and business development between Italian companies and the Chinese market. We developed a rich program which features also the presence of Italian renowned designers who, together with the brands participating in the show, can introduce the charm, history and value of the Italian products to the visitors and make them experiencing the wonderful world of Made in Italy. During the press conference the organisers officially revealed the 2017 new brand image for the show. Integrating Italy with China, Milan with Shanghai, the new visual graphic evocatively emphasises both the single identities of the countries as well as the harmonic encounter of the two cultures, conveying to the leading nature of this international show.
Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai will gather together, once again, the leading Chinese architects, interior designers, importers, dealers, developers and professionals in the furniture and design industry by giving them the chance of experiencing the excellence of Italian furniture in China.

 
According to Amedeo Scarpa, ITA-ICE Beijing office director and coordinator of ITA network in China, “Chinese market is one of the most interesting markets in the world in terms of sensitiveness towards design and interior decoration. But it is also a very competitive and challenging market. That’s why Made in Italy needs to be accompanied by the public support of the Governmental Italian Trade Promotion Organisation. ITA/ICE together with the Embassy of Italy are doing this since the first edition of “Salone del Mobile.Milano Shanghai”, accompanying Federlegno Arredo and Italian firms in such a long and wonderful win-win Italian-Chinese partnership”.

 
The organisers will focus even more on the quality of the visitors in order to create concrete opportunities of business for the exhibitors and offer them a unique platform to increase their visibility and success in the Chinese market.
