RAK CeramicsThe number of RAK Ceramics’ showrooms in the UAE has reached double figures with the inauguration of a new outlet in Fujairah. The world’s largest ceramics manufacturer’s tenth UAE outlet is its first in the emirate and was opened in response to the increased demand from its burgeoning real estate sector.

“RAK Ceramics’ customer base in Fujairah is growing steadily and in order to provide a better level of services to our clients in the emirate, we have opened up a new showroom there to demonstrate our extensive collections of tiles, bathware and other ceramic products,” said Abdallah Massaad, CEO, RAK Ceramics. “RAK Ceramics’ is committed to providing the highest level of services to its UAE clients, whichever part of the country they operate in, regardless of whether they are major developers or individuals,” said Massaad.

In previous years, Fujairah’s mountainous and rocky topography meant that its role in the UAE’s construction sector was limited to one of supplier of aggregate for major construction projects in other parts of the country, such as The Palm in Dubai. However, the emirate is now experiencing something of a boom itself – a phenomenon that can be seen in developments such as Al Hilal City, which comprises 130 residential and commercial towers. Other projects currently under construction in Fujairah include a new steel factory, a grain storage terminal and an oil refinery.

“As part of RAK Ceramics’ retail expansion plan strategy, RAK Ceramics opened its new showroom making it easier for customers from across this spectrum in Fujairah to select bathware, tiling and interior fitting solutions, whether they are planning fit-outs for their major projects or simply upgrading their living space in their personal homes,” he added.

RAK Ceramics’ new Fujairah showroom is located on Hamad Bin Abdullah Road. The facility occupies 300 Sq.mt and includes state-of-the-art features, such as digital displays and smart scrollers to help with product selection. The showroom will demonstrate the company’s tiling collections with wall display panels and its bathware with an L-shaped floor display. There will also be a counter-top display area and separate space as well as its KLUDI RAK range of eco-friendly faucets, and other kitchen and shower fixtures.
RAK Ceramics’ status as the largest ceramics manufacturer comes from its global production figures of 117 million square metres of ceramic and porcelain tiles and 20 million pieces of tableware produced each year. In 2012, the company achieved the milestone figures of supplying 1 billion square metres of tiles and 50 million pieces of bathware worldwide. The organisation has recently undertaken a roadshow that has seen them exhibiting their collections in Iraq, Bahrain and Saudi. RAK Ceramics’ global tour will conclude at the Big 5 construction trade fair, which takes place in Dubai at the end of November.
