PIANCA is preparing to bring lots of new ideas for the upcoming edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano, scheduled this year from April 4 to 9. The company has chosen to focus on illustrious partnerships and a bold, fresh new look for its living and bedroom lines, which have been expanded and redesigned to be even more versatile and sophisticated.

PIANCA_letto_AMANTE_Cristina CelestinoThe AMANTE bed, designed by Cristina Celestino, will be making its debut among the new bedroom collection pieces that PIANCA is previewing. The young Italian designer, whose delicately refined taste and design lines are much sought-after, shares PIANCA’s vision of design which builds on the precious knowledge and expertise of traditional craftsmanship to achieve a personal, contemporary interpretation of the objects that are part of our daily lives.

Inspired by traditional Italian design, but offering contemporary details and attitude, the AMANTE bed is the result of this style and concept matrix. Its materials and component parts interact to create lighter volumes. The texture of the lacquered grissinato finish wood side panels echoes the pleated fabric covering the broad headboard and recalls the furniture of grand master craftsmen, giving AMANTE’s style a slight dash of retro. The result is an elegant, attractive bed, with a modern, refined look.

PIANCA_gruppo notte_LOGOS_Calvi BrambillaThere is a new prestigious collaboration with the Calvi & Brambilla studio, a well-known duo who need no introductions. Their wealth of experience as architects and designers, combined with PIANCA’s expertise and philosophy, is introducing exciting new ideas into the collection.

The Calvi & Brambilla-designed products that PIANCA will be showcasing at the trade fair, include LOGOS, a family of containers for the bedroom area.

The front part of the modules is a composition of offset, overlaid inter-communicating elements, an homage to artist and designer Bruno Munari, who conducted a lengthy study of the spatial effects deriving from placing coloured surfaces together. The unusual geometry of the surfaces allows you to grab the square in your hands in order to enter into it, in an ongoing interaction between two and three dimensional spaces.

PIANCA_tavolo_MAESTRO_Emilio NanniThere is further collaboration with Emilio Nanni, who previously designed Haik and Asolo for PIANCA. His architectural training and experience, combined with his versatile expression of his creativity as designer and artist, lead him to create iconic, highly eloquent designs, like the MAESTRO table, which PIANCA will be presenting in Milan.

Perfectly balanced between abstract and static theory, and the geometric concept and structural stability, MAESTRO affirms itself as the synthesis of those forces and achieves its style from this comparison and encounter. The segment becomes the main design feature, while, overall, it traces out a design that recalls the cross beams of architectural trusses.

The structure is available in solid wood and painted metal, while the table top options are smoked glass, wood and natural cement.
