offect in stockholmSwedish furniture and design company Offecct makes a new start in Stockholm and moves from the modern Flat Iron Building on Torsgatan to a historical station building at Lilla Bantorget 11. Here a meeting arena is created where Offeccts contemporary design meets 19th century architecture.

CEO Kurt Tingdal says, “Stockholm is a center for design and innovation and continues to be an important base for us as we expand internationally.”

Offecct with headquarters and production in western Sweden has been established in Stockholm since 1992, in recent years in Flat Iron Builiding. The company also has meeting arenas in Milan, Oslo, Gothenburg and Stockholm.

The new arena in Stockholm is located in a station building from 1893, designed by architect Folke Zetterwall, just 200 meters from the former premises.

Tingdal adds, “The contrast between the historical architecture and our contemporary international design make this a very exciting and inspiring place.”

The 300 square meter arena has a soft tonality with a slightly stricter colour scale in grey and nature. Conference rooms, lounge and offices are based on an activity-based way of working.

Kurt Tingdal emphasises that this will be an active meeting arena for discussions about design, sustainable furnishings and future attractiveness.

He explains, “Traditional showrooms where visitors only look at furniture has played out its role. Here we want people to get knowledge, talk and meet other people. A little like coming home to us.”
