Danish furniture company Muuto had a busy time at the Stockholm Furniture Fair 2017 with the introduction of three new furniture pieces.
Based on the pilot components of an armchair – seat, backrest, armrest, pillows and legs – the Compose sofa offers a deep and plush seating experience. Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll have designed the sofa as a generous lounge, both soft and firm. Compose rests on hidden legs which give the sofa a visual lightness. It is upholstered with Danish Kvadrat’s fabric Fiord, a wool blend with a subtle three dimensional look.
Contrasting its generous depth of seating and a voluminous embrace, the Outline chair has a slender appearance. With its generous size it can be used in versatile ways – as a small sofa, or as a large armchair. It comes with powder coated aluminum legs. The frame is constructed of wood and steel. The seats are made of cold foam granulate and feather filling.
The Workshop chair by Cecilie Manz was developed and prototyped in just a few weeks in her Copenhagen studio, and produced in lacquered oak wood, matte clear oak or oregon pine. Legs and frame are made from solid wood, while back and seat from veneer.
